I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far at SRC infrastructure. The work lifestyle is fast paced, and rewarding, having rotated through 3 roles already; managing internal commercial dashboards, secondment into the project delivery team of our client, Sage homes, as well as being a team leader consulting for Sage Homes for a data validation project. The work culture is flexible with a hybrid working culture, and a lot of support through the learning curve, and no limit on growth; if you can take on more responsibilities they will happily provide. The company also values the work life balance, with regular team bonding events and socials, which has created a close knit family. I feel as if I have worked at this company for a lot longer than 6 months due to the wide array of experience that I have accumulated during this time.

I joined SRC in November 2021 as an Assistant Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager and was straight away given the opportunity to work alongside Chartered Surveyors, carrying out key structural assessments of London Underground stations. This highly unique and challenging project gave me immense exposure to TfL infrastructure construction and allowed me to gain invaluable experience in working on site. During my first few months I was astounded by the friendly and inclusive environment I found myself in and was given the ability to socialise and network with co-workers and clients alike during the various social activities and workshops. More recently I have rotated into a commercial management role, which has allowed me to develop and hone my commercial, financial and project management skills in a fast-paced and ever-changing sector. The nature of the role, blended with the continuous support has allowed me to grow my responsibilities and take ownership of the projects. The nature of SRC ensures you are not constrained by role titles and that proactiveness is rewarded with both personal development and career growth. In the coming year, I am looking forward to branching out and getting involved with the numerous projects that SRC have in the pipeline as I work towards my Chartership and becoming a more rounded engineer.
